Registered Veterinary Technicians

Andrea

Andrea

Andrea has been at March Road Veterinary Hospital since the summer of 2007. She started off covering a maternity leave and has since been hired on as a part-time technician. Andrea graduated from St. Lawrence College in Kingston from the three-year Veterinary Technology program and became a registered technician in November 1992. Andrea has worked in vet clinics in towns across Ontario over the last 18 years, such as Belleville, Stoney Creek, Carleton Place, Almonte, and now Kanata. When she took a couple of years off work to start a family, Andrea still had 11 cats. She has now downsized to five! Andrea lives in Carleton Place with her 2 boys, Noah and Connor, and her fiance and his two kids. There is never a dull moment, as their 5 kitties – Gus, Oliver, Rosie, Abbie and their newest addition- Melvin– and black Lab Keisha, help to keep them busy!

In her spare time, Andrea enjoys photography (especially of wild life and nature), biking, hiking, and camping with the family. This is now her 3rd year of fostering raccoons through the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.

TinaTina

Tina is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, in 1996. She has been with March Road Veterinary Hospital since September, 1996.

Tina, husband Scott, and three daughters Sierra, Madison, and Sydney share their home with Jasper, a beautiful furry cat!  She also has a lovely horse, Bradley.

Her spare time, (when it comes around!), is spent horseback riding, reading and hiking.

Krissy grew up in Arnprior but moved to the city to attend college.

TracyTracy

Tracy is from Northern Ontario and has been a technician for nearly 17 years. She started her career with Dr. Olender many years ago and has recently rejoined the March Road Veterinary Hospital team in August 2009. Her family consists of her two very good pups and a very patient boyfriend, Rob. They love to spend time outdoors, especially in the summer, as the dogs are a big fan of Rob's BBQ cooking!

Her biggest dog is named Dozer and he is from the B.A.R.K. Katrina Hurricane rescue mission. Fergie is the smallest of the two, a spunky shihtzu, also adopted from the B.A.R.K. rescue organization.

Veterinary Assistants

Stephanie

Stephanie

Stephanie was raised in beautiful Constance Bay. She joined our team in the summer of 2003 upon completion of the Veterinary Assistant program at Algonquin College. Her position allows her to assist all staff. This has enabled her to become quite versatile within the hospital. She finds supervising cooperative education students especially rewarding.

Her love for creatures great and small is reflected in her spare time as well as in the clinic. She contributes much time and effort to the wildlife centers in the area, never hesitating to rescue injured or orphaned animals. She enjoys year-round cottage-living with her dog, Jessie and a very energetic orange and white kitty named Ditch (named after where she was found!) her very sweet young daughter, Ella, and the man who makes it all possible. When she is not busy with an animal, she can be found on the water or in the snow, depending on the season.

Receptionists

CourtneyCourtney

Courtney started working at Dunrobin Veterinary Clinic in January 2002 and has since moved to March Road Veterinary Hospital. The opportunities presented have enabled her to grow into the position she is in now. Courtney enjoys every aspect of her place in our team! Answering the phone and greeting each client when they walk through the door are two of Courtney’s favorite jobs. She has 3 dogs, Nora, Riley and Quincy; one cat, Big Kitty; and four horses, Isaac, Emma, Remi and Dexter. Courtney currently lives in the small village of Braeside with her husband. Their most recent additions to the herd is a beautiful daughter named Claire and a wonderful baby boy named Carson(not of the fur variety!) and they are enjoying every minute with them!
